Responsibilities  of Contractor's Site Staff

Due to discouraging progress, lack of site arrangements,  wastage of materials, site irregularities and  lack of efficient use of  manpower and available resources, the management is assigning duties to all the responsible staff members for better consequences. All the concerns must abide by their duties and responsibilities w.e.f. …………… otherwise management reserves all the rights for severe actions to all those committed to violation.

A:- Responsibilities of Contractor's Site Engineers.

1.     Testing of Materials:- Site engineer shall be responsible for in time testing of all necessary materials such as compaction tests, blocks testing, cubes testing, steel testing and any other obligatory tests from municipality.

2.     Site Requirements:- Site engineer is obliged to report very in time regarding site requirements, site problems if any and procurement of materials.

3.     Bill of Quantities & Payments:- Site engineer shall be solely responsible for arranging accurately bill of quantities of all the projects, rate analysis and arranging payments.

4.     Progress Reports:- Site engineer shall be obliged to prepare and report comprehensive weekly and monthly progress reports to the management. Weekly progress reports must be furnished with proposed activities for the next week.

5.     Availability of Construction Materials:- Site engineer must ensure in time  availability of materials before finishing of any running activity and starting of new activity.

6.     Quality Control:- Site engineer shall be responsible for the accuracy of works conforming to the drawings, specifications and to the latest standards.

7.     Manpower and Materials Control:- Site engineer shall be responsible to monitor the progress and proper use of manpower for each profession. He shall also be responsible for monitoring wastage or misuse of the building materials, tools and other things.

8.     Safety Precautions:- Site engineer shall be responsible to take all necessary safety precautions for existing services, existing properties and    safety of men power during construction

                                                       

9.     Workers Problems:- Site engineer will settle any minor problems between workers reported through site foremen. He will also report their accommodation, transportation or any such matters well in time to the management.

10.            Site Arrangements:- Site engineer shall be responsible for proper site arrangements for each activity and proper storage of materials keeping in mind future activities, weather effects & site conditions.

11.            Material Shifting & Audition:- Site engineer shall be responsible for issuing any materials from store in his presence and up dating records for remaining and consumed materials specifying source of consumption for all the materials issued.

12.            Update Available Equipment & Tools:- Site engineer shall monthly update condition and Nos. of available machinery, tools and other general site obligatory materials.
